Since today is a special day, let me tell you all about how I started Newgrounds and online music creation itself. I am willing to talk in the comments too.

The year is 2016. I'm a little kid playing on a computer and I discover Beepbox. I mess around on in and make a few beats, seldom saving anything. When I did save something, it was either deleted or wrote down on a small paper that I wasn't very careful with, hence the loss.

Fast forward to 2022. I discover Undertale and it is the most amazing thing I have discovered at the time. Of course I wanted to make music based off of it, so I did. I somehow memorized one single tinyurl throughout the years, and so here it is. I still play Undertale every year heavily during September since that's the month of its anniversary. Can't wait for the tenth one this year!

Then comes 2023. I had started going to church on purpose but it was just to make friends since I live in a smaller town. I made a friend there who was actually pretty cool at the time and I started going to his house. We did stupid shit like vape in his garage but I quit that a long time ago, when I quit seeing him. Anyway, I would come over and I got to use his computer for music, and we started making cool stuff (which were all lost as well, damn!). I had to stop coming because it turns out his parents were quite promiscuous and my mother rightfully didn't feel comfortable letting me go there anymore, and I was pretty chill with it; I still got to text him. I had to quit being friends with him entirely though because during my first mental breakdown, he didn't read my goodbye message or seem to give a crap after. So, if you're still out there, then fuck you!

Time goes forward and it's 2024. I drift away from the church and I'm mostly isolated. I found out I was trans during this time, which just made all the bullshit worse. Anyway, some time during 2024 I remember Geometry Dash existed (I played GD Lite ~twice in 2016), so I decided to give it a go for nostalgia's sake. I play it for a few months because it's fun as hell, then I switched to the full version of the game December 18th, 2024. When messing around with my newly-acquired level editor, I immediately find the part where you put a song for the level to have, which led me to discover Newgrounds. I distinctly remember it being created on January 15th, making a news post labelled "yi", a typo of "yo" and my first song being uploaded May 30th. I remember beepbox existed around this time, so I thought "damn, If I just make music, I can immediately put it as a number in the game and turn my music into levels!!". When I uploaded my first song, I was disappointed that putting it in the level didn't work and that I had to contact an elder moderator or RobTop himself. I shrugged it off though and continued to make beats under the name AvidCobbleYT. If anyone here knows that old Newgrounds username, that was me! I continue to make music for a long time, and I eventually make a discord account and went to look up if there was a Beepbox discord server, and was delighted to find one. I join it some time during November. I meet all kinds of awesome people there, some I still talk to or know to this day. When I joined, I found out about slarmoos box, which is still the main way I make music. When I joined that server, I learned to make better music, got scouted, and start even making dubstep! Fast forward a few months, I started gaining fans (had a peak of 12), and had nearly 100 songs. Then, disaster struck: I had another mental breakdown. Since I didn't really have any way to help it along at the time, I deleted everything: my NG, my GD and all of its levels, my discord, all of it. After getting over myself eventually, I deeply regretted getting rid of that account and still do to this day. God it was such an easier time in 2024 than it was this year. Anyway, I created a new NG account months later, got to about 35 songs, and go through the motions again. I don't even remember the name of it, but it wasn't really great.

2025 rolls around. I start deeply regretting getting rid of my Discord, NG and GD twice, so I made a vow to myself that states as follows: "no matter how bad I feel or what I go through, people should still have traces of me to see!'. On March 25th of this year, I made my third and final account. I now upload music fairly often and still play a little Geometry Dash and have one level remaining at this time, Hexsie Funk, with the ID 115486349. I still talk on discord and have a server on there (obviously, my link is listed lol).

In conclusion, life has a lot of ups and downs, this is just my story of what went down. Goodnight, folks.

Thanks to all of my fans that have been with me up to this point, it really is great to be a part of this community and I couldn't do it without ya guys :D

I have been thinking about this for a while now: The Newgrounds color selection is great, but could be improved upon. Here is how I would improve it. Maybe there could be a switch to toggle between old and new colors, that way most people can be happy. If you have any opinions critique, please tell me in the comments!
